We are very pleased to announce that Bahari Yetu is available to watch online! Our film was chosen as one of the films to launch the WaterBear Network; WaterBear is the first interactive streaming platform dedicated to the future of our planet. It features award-winning content, a global network of over 75 non-profit partners and empowers members to take direct action to go beyond watching the content, to dive deeper, learn more and take action while watching.
We are still able to provide public screenings in Kenya, and have started our screenings in the Lamu Archipelago, where the concept for the film was born. In fact it was through the first screening of Bahari Yetu as well as the showing of our film on Locally Managed Marine Areas, which is also narrated in Swahili, that we managed to get a MOU signed to create a marine protected area around Kinyika Rock, our favourite snorkelling sight a long the coast and one that features a lot in Bahari Yetu. More about that soon and over the next few months you can follow us on our mission along Kenya's coast screening this film and trying to change how we, as humans, treat our Ocean.
