We are now in the Kusi season, when the southern trade wind blows and deep sea excursions are not so favourable (of course this doesn’t stop us, only reduces the amount of times we head out!) During this season we find the time to go over footage of past ocean adventures.
This year we have been blessed with whale sharks, there will be more to come on that and you can see our first Lamu whale shark encounter here. However there was one spectacular day at the beginning of 2020, it was during the filming of Bahari Yetu and to complete our footage there were a few shots we needed, we were searching for something big to round off the selection of species we had. You never know what you will encounter in the deep blue (or green) but if you're lucky the ocean provides, and wow did she provide! The video says it all.
